QI, if there was an American Version who would host? I love this show. Stephen Fry is host, Alan Davies is the non-changing &"contestant&" and they have great recurring guest contestants, mostly british celebrities. They talk about trivia and joke around about the trivia and common misconceptions. So who would be the host for this show in North America. Canadian/American host. who would you like to be the constant contestant? who would be your recurring guests? Perhaps this would be a measure of wit, comedic chops, and intelligence.
The QI Test was a planned spin-off version of QI that was to be broadcast on BBC Two. Created by Lloyd, Talkback Thames' Dave Morely and former QI Commercial Director Justin Gayner, The QI Test differed from QI in that it would have featured members of the public as contestants instead of comedians and celebrities. It would have been broadcast during the daytime schedules. The pilot was not hosted by Stephen Fry and was recorded in November 2009, but a series has yet to materialise.
QI is the Rose d'Or - winning and BAFTA - nominated comedy quiz show full of quirky facts in which contestants are rewarded more if their answers are 'quite interesting'. Hosted by Stephen Fry (Gosford Park, Bones) each episode has a different theme on which the celebrity guests have to answer questions, avoiding repeating common misconceptions and urban myths. It's okay to be wrong but don't be obviously, boringly wrong. Guests include: Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter), Eddie Izzard (Valkyrie, Ocean's Twelve), David Tennant (Doctor Who, St Trinians), Ruby Wax, John Hodgman, David Mitchell, Bill Bailey, Ronni Ancona, Sandi Toksvig, Rob Brydon and regular panellist, Alan Davies. QI has increased its UK audience by over 100% since launch of series 1.
From left to right: Alan Davies, Rich Hall, Stephen Fry, Phill Jupitus, Jeremy Clarkson, and Bill Bailey.Based on some silly jokes between a friend and I about how Stephen Fry is always talking about never getting laid, even though the "QI" show seems to be making his straight contestants bi-curious. Phill Jupitus often try to flirt with Fry, but Fry either turns him down or acts innocently oblivious to it.While the text isn't 100% correct, it's all based on things they said on the show.EDIT: Haha! I've been informed that Phill Jupitus have seen the picture and liked it, so I feel less guilty now.EDIT: Aaaaand Stephen Fry himself tweeted about the picture, so now all is right in the world for me.EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaaand Alan Davies retweeted it.
